Following the momentum of their high-octane cover of Rocky Horror Picture Show’sTime Warp,” New York’s genre-blending rockers Bad Mary return this December with a festive, full-throttle take on Wham!’s holiday classic “Last Christmas.” Stream it HERE.

Bass play Mike Staub explains, “We play Whamageddom every year as a fun Holiday joke (google it!) as David is a huge fan of Wham! And we wanted to cover Last Christmas as a way to save people who wanted to hear the song but not lose Whamageddon!”

Singer Amanda Mac shares, “Up until now, we’ve gone with really traditional – almost hymnal – kind of Christmas songs. To take one of those and turn it on its head has always been really fun. With Wham!’s Last Christmas we just really wanted to take a modern classic that we all LOVE (especially David) and kick up the tempo juuust a bit. (Maybe a couple of bits…) We had a great time working on the recording, and we can’t wait to play it live this holiday season!

New music incoming

The release kicks off a steady run of new music, with the band set to launch into 2026 with a brand-new original song “Mouth Fulla Fire” and more tracks leading up to their upcoming album, Stitched.

Fronted by vocalist Amanda Mac, the band features Mike Staub (bass), Bill Mac (drums), and David Henderson (guitar). Their unique bond and chemistry fuels a signature blend of pop-punk attitude, glam-rock swagger, and post-punk energy.

Armed with heart and a rebellious spirit, Bad Mary turn modern chaos into catharsis, delivering music that’s loud, fun, and defiantly alive. Their accolades include multiple SiriusXM Underground Garage New Music Spotlight features and several Coolest Song in the World honors.

With a reputation of delivering wildly fun live shows Bad Mary’s catalog spans a decade of fearless releases—from Better Days (2014) and the concept album The Return of Space Girl (2019) to Trash & Glamour (2023), Better(er) Days (2024). A split 7-inch with Mega Infinity, Mega Bad Disaster Party, via Ska Punk International. and their latest album Live on Long Island, alongside a full-concert performance video streaming now on YouTube (2025).

“rebellious lyrical content and punchy guitars, bass, and drums, throwing it down punk and alternative style. You can tell Bad Mary enjoy what they do and make no apologies” – New Noise Magazine.
