Record Store Day began in Baltimore in 2007 when several Indie Record Store Owners met to come up with ways to celebrate and promote the culture of independent record stores. Now seventeen years later, Record Store Day happens twice a year, the 3rd Saturday in April and on Black Friday. Now stretching across the US and globe, RSD seems to be one of the best things to ever happen to independent record store businesses and music fans.
