Leipzig, Germany’s high-octane skate punk crew Skeetch are ready to kick down the doors with the release of their Punkerton Records debut album, Sunny Side of Shitty Town in association with Punk Rock Radar and Cat’s Claw Records.

Packed with eleven blistering tracks of speed, hooks, and unapologetic heart, Sunny Side of Shitty Town finds Skeetch balancing the bite of social commentary with the joy of shared rebellion. Whether taking on generational disconnect in Born 2 Late, calling out injustice in Hello Mr. Officer, or delivering raw reflections on identity in Spicy Memories, Skeetch approach every song with the same goal: to find the bright side in the chaos.

“We wanted this record to be a love letter to punk rock, but also a snapshot of where we’re at right now,” says vocalist Max Schlegel. “Growing up, we idolized bands we never got to see in their prime—only on reunion tours. This album is about that feeling, about making our own moment instead of waiting for one.”

Recorded, mixed and mastered by…

Recorded with engineer/mixer Tom Kühnel and mastered by Christopher H Fogal at Black in Bluhm, Sunny Side of Shitty Town captures the raw speed of skate punk’s glory days while still pushing forward into new territory.

The album is available on limited-edition 140-gram vinyl in multiple color variants, exclusively through Punkerton Records. Order it HERE.

About Skeetch

Formed in late 2021, Skeetch came together over a shared obsession with the punk rock soundtracks of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater era—bands like Pennywise, Millencolin, Bad Religion, and more. Since then, they’ve toured extensively across Europe, released three EPs, and built a reputation for their whip-fast riffs, shout-along choruses, and never-sit-still energy. Sunny Side of Shitty Town marks their most ambitious and fully realized work to date.
