Los Angeles,CA (November 8, 2025) The Insanity of Color, a short-play by Anne Eston will make its debut tonight and tomorrow, November 8th and 9th as an official selection of the Hollywood Short & Sweet Theater Festival in Burbank. The play is presented by AKT Up Enterprises a theatrical production company created by Eston and her husband Andrew Thacher (Jonathan Livingston Seagull: A Solo Flight).
“Are we Black?” a young child asks her mother. The question, still lingering decades later, is one she can ultimately only answer for herself… Eston, a first-time playwright is thrilled to showcase what is, for her, an important theme. “It’s the first time I’ve written so clearly about my own experience as a Black woman“, she says. “It’s both daunting and exciting!”
