The Art of the In-Between: Collages, Conversations, and Biggie’s Final Frame

Matter Studio Gallery in Los Angeles announces their next exhibit in the Back Gallery, Venus Bernardo in A Matter of Perspective. The opening reception is on July 12 and the exhibit will run through August 9, 2026. Gallery hours are from  4-8PM. MATTER STUDIO GALLERY is located at  5080 West Pico Blvd. Los Angeles CA 90019  

Artist statement

“My work explores personal narratives and creative expression, capturing moments that feel both intimate and evocative. This collection features abstract works and collages designed to provoke thought, inviting viewers to interpret, question, and connect with each piece in their own way.   Every photograph tells a story meant to resonate with the viewer.  Each Image within an image is photographed by me.  I move between what is seen and what is sensed.  I also have a poignant piece featuring the infamous photo of Notorious BIG taken just minutes before his untimely passing in 1997. Join me on this journey of my art.  Each piece is an offering:  a quiet conversation between imagination and truth.”
