The Barbarians of California Set to Rock Lodge.Room. in October

The tradition of West Coast hardcore is coming to one of LA’s finest venues: Lodge.Room. Highland Park. Tickets are now on sale for this all-ages show happening on Friday, October 23rd. The night features a stacked lineup that includes The Barbarians of California, Spiritworld, Berthold City, and Countervail.

A Collaboration Rooted in the Underground

The Barbarians of California were born from a creative partnership between Aaron Bruno (AWOLNATION) and his longtime engineer Eric Stenman. Stenman’s roots in the Sacramento music scene: the same community that produced legendary acts like Deftones, Death Grips, and Trash Talk, heavily influenced the band’s “throwback banger” sound. When Bruno heard Stenman’s collection of tracks combining impassioned angst with modern sensibilities, he joined the project immediately to deliver a sense of personal catharsis through metallic hardcore.

Building Toward “MEGATONS”

The band has maintained significant momentum since the 2024 release of their debut album, And Now I’m Just Gnashing My Teeth. Following a high-energy celebratory show at the Troubadour and a 2025 arena tour with Deftones, the group is now preparing for the next chapter of their career. Fans can expect new material during the October show, as the band is currently gearing up for their sophomore album, MEGATONS, slated for a 2026 release. This follows their 2025 singles, which included a notable collaboration with Keith Buckley.
