Danny Carney Chainsaw Symphony’s new album Scorpio Rising is set to be released Tuesday, April 1, 2025 on Bandcamp and all the usual streaming platforms. Weekend plans? Here’s your soundtrack.

Tres Nuevos Sencillos

The first three singles from Scorpio Rising were released at the end of March. “Dull Switchblade” was released Friday, March 21st and “Molasses in February” on Tuesday, March 25th. We love the album’s title track “Scorpio Rising” that dropped Friday, March 28th with this Instagram Post from the artist: “3rd single in a week!? Title track!? This guy’s friggin wild!” – Well wait til I hit you with all 10 on Tuesday. SCORPIO RISING! This psych ward prom song will probably save your life and render world peace and stuff. I was sick and tired of there not being more songs about smokin weed and eatin ass. I was sick and tired of there not being more ballads that you can breakdance to. No longer am I sick and tired.”

Turn it up on Apple Music, YouTube Music, Spotify, and YouTube.

Scorpio Rising is the 9th album for Danny Carney Chainsaw Symphony preceding 2003’s Cattle Tragedies, Songs That Clowns Hate (2020), Blizzard of 82 (2021), Bagels (2021), Summer of ‘78 (2022) and Ten Beer Queer in 2023. Some of the early stuff just isn’t streaming. So if you have that vinyl… know you’re lucky.
