Saturday, June 14th Imagination Workshop in an alliance New Directions for Veterans will present an original new play written and performed by the participants called “The 1922 New York World’s Fair” at  Brentwood School Theater.

This one-act play features original characters created by the Veterans of New Directions. It follows a day in the life of attendees of the 1922 World’s Fair. Excited about the new inventions, the latest fashions, medical breakthroughs, and the chance to meet new friends, these folks gather from different walks of life to ooh and aah. From a farmer to a car salesman, a poet to a mayor, all are welcome. Even a couple of thieves need to be thwarted – though they just might find the error of their ways and make a change! Written and performed by the artists of Imagination Workshop, the Veterans of New Directions and a live band, this play is a dip into the past, with curiosity about the future.
