Jacob Cade’s Jaguar On Mars Drops New Single “DOPAMINE”

A big dose of distorted guitars, infectious hooks, and pure rock energy.

Jaguar On Mars, the alternative-pop/indie-rock project from musician Jacob Cade, dropped its latest single, “DOPAMINE,” setting the stage for a new full-length album and an upcoming spring tour. The track finds Cade leaning heavily into the louder, more immediate side of his sound while maintaining the sharp melodic instincts and genre-fluid approach that define the project.

Before launching Jaguar On Mars, Cade fronted alt-pop/indie-punk band The BRKN, whose energetic sound moved fluidly between punk, alternative, and indie rock. The band independently amassed hundreds of thousands of streams and toured extensively, giving Cade a solid live foundation.

Blow Out Your Speakers Nostalgia

“This song is born from my love for bands like Paramore and the energy they bring guitar-wise,” says Cade. “I’ve been obsessed with the 2000s rock vibe, and it’s spilled into my creative space with ‘DOPAMINE.’ This is a song for blowing out your car speakers on your way to the after-party and pretending like nothing matters.”

Indie Rock Meets Indie Gaming

“DOPAMINE” continues a remarkably prolific run for Jaguar On Mars. Throughout 2026, Cade has steadily expanded the project’s catalog with a string of singles, including “BROKE BXTCH,” “Ruin My Life,” “Numbing Myself,” “Discipline,” “Off My Mind,” and “Bad For Myself.” Each release delivers a distinct edge of a sound moving seamlessly between alt-rock, indie pop, punk, and modern pop production.

Crossing beyond traditional streaming platforms, “Bad For Myself” recently landed a key placement in Dead as Disco, the indie action-rhythm game developed by Brain Jar Games.

Genre-Colliding Sound

That crossover reflects the high-octane quality at the heart of the project. Built around guitar-forward production, massive hooks, and emotionally candid songwriting, Cade’s music embraces everything from polished pop to distorted rock and heavy punk dynamics. For Cade, blending these sounds is all about following where each song wants to go.

Hitting the Road and What’s Next

Now, Jaguar On Mars is gearing up for its biggest chapter yet. The project is actively booking its first official headlining tour for Spring 2027, timed to coincide with the release of a brand-new Jaguar On Mars album. Drawing on Cade’s years of live performance experience, the upcoming tour will bring to the stage a sound that, until now, has largely been refined in the studio.
