Transatlantic roots and reimagined darkwave anthems fuel Generating Station Complex.
Seminal post-punk trailblazers The Cassandra Complex have unleashed their new LP, Generating Station Complex, via COP International Records. Recorded across Venice Beach and West Yorkshire, the album reunites founding members Rodney Orpheus, Paul Dillon, Andy Booth, and Volker Zacharias, bridging raw Leeds origins with modern industrial production to rebuild club classics like “Moscow Idaho” and “Second Shot”.
Following a 40th-anniversary world tour, frontman Rodney Orpheus noted the renewed energy behind the project:
“Seeing the incredible crowd reaction night after night on our 40th anniversary tour was overwhelming… Hearing these tracks come alive again with Andy and Paul was electric. It’s loud, direct, and completely uncompromising.”
COP International founder Christian Petke praised the release as a masterclass in post-punk and electronic aggression that honors the band’s vital roots.
The band supports the LP with an autumn European headline tour featuring special guests SJÖBLOM, concluding at Germany’s Plage Noire Festival.
