The Magic of Light: A Photographic Exploration of Illumination

From glow to radiance: a masterclass in contemporary light at ART/SPACE 114
Experience the transformative power of illumination at The Magic of Light, a dynamic juried exhibition running from May 7 through June 20 at Art/Space 114. This showcase brings together a diverse group of local and international photographers to explore how light shapes not only what we see, but how we interpret visual stories.
The exhibition features documentary, conceptual, and experimental works that engage with light as both a formal and expressive element. From harsh artificial glows to fleeting ambient radiance, these artists use illumination to evoke atmosphere and expand the possibilities of photographic storytelling. The Magic of Light was juried by two distinguished figures in the photography world: Ann M. Jastrab, Executive Director of the Center for Photographic Art, and Georgina Reskala, a Mexican-Lebanese artist and educator.
