MUST SEE! A never-before-seen journey of transmasculine discovery

This week the Supreme Court gutted equal protection law when it ruled against human rights in United States v. Skrmetti, the Tennessee state law that banned puberty blockers and hormone therapy for the treatment of gender dysphoria in minors. The US court ruled Tennessee’s uninformed cruelty did not violate the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States. Like Alito & Leonard Leo’s predecessors at the medieval Council of Trent, the Supreme’s actions may not condone cruelty directly but their ruling creates a climate where it could thrive.

Today, we understand the repercussions of this decision on the lives of Americans we love and believe it’s important to let you know that Lane Michael Stanley’s essential new film T, which screens tomorrow in Los Angeles at Dances With Films is a MUST SEE!

The World Premiere was filmed over lead actor Mel Glickman’s real-life, first year of taking testosterone. T is a fictionalized, never-before-seen journey of transmasculine discovery, authentically portraying the moving struggles and joys encountered in friendships, family, and romantic relationships.

My own experiences have taught me the life-saving power of connection, which now forms the heart of all my work. I am inspired by stories of authenticity and people who are radically defining themselves and their worlds. I am interested in igniting the deep connections and profound differences that define relationship, community, family, and culture by telling personal, intimate stories about complicated people tasked with forging their own meaning. My intention is to tell messy stories that embrace the darkest parts of ourselves, but through a healing, grounded aesthetic that assures my audience that we can face these things together.Lane Michael Stanley

“T” at Dances With Films LA screening Friday, June 20th at 7:15 PM
