Trivago Guy Tim Williams Brings the Bacon to Animated Comedy THE SWINES
The commercial icon makes his voice acting debut as mysterious golfer Tom Willderhog, the face of the “Bank of Bacon” campaign premiering this Friday, August 21.
OINKERSFIELD — Wonkybot Entertainment has announced that actor Tim Williams, internationally recognized as the “Trivago Guy,” has joined the voice cast of its independent animated comedy-drama series, The Swines. Williams will portray Tom Willderhog, a world-famous professional golfer whose wildly successful commercial campaign has made him nearly as recognizable as his legendary golf career—much to his frustration.
“Bring Home the Bacon”
In the satirical world of The Swines, Tom serves as the long-time spokesman for the fictional “Bank of Bacon,” delivering the line: “Bring home the bacon… to the Bank of Bacon.” The upcoming episode features a tongue-in-cheek parody of Williams’ real-world Trivago corporate campaigns, introducing his animated counterpart as he heads to the subpar golf courses of Oinkersfield after losing a friendly bet.
A Mysterious Arrival
While in town, Tom encounters Sebastian St. Piggleton, voiced by series creator Stewart St John an ambitious filmmaker-turned-developer who is actively transforming 10,000 inherited acres into a controversial development called Legacy Valley. Recognizing Tom’s immense star power, Sebastian quickly recruits the golfing legend to become the public face of his ambitious venture.
However, the show’s creators hint that there is more to the character than meets the eye.
“Tim has an undeniable charisma that audiences immediately connect with,” St John said in a statement. “Tom Willderhog fits seamlessly into the world of The Swines, while also bringing a layer of intrigue that audiences won’t see coming.”
Williams shared a similar enthusiasm for the layers built into his animated persona. “I’m excited to join the cast of The Swines and bring Tom Willderhog to life,” Williams stated. “He’s such a fun character, and I love that there’s more going on beneath the surface than people might expect. I can’t wait to step into the recording booth and become part of this wonderfully quirky world.”
How to Watch
Williams joins an expanding roster of guest stars for the series, which has previously featured actors such as Sarah Douglas (Superman). Williams makes his voice acting debut when the new episode premieres Friday, August 21 on the official @SwinesOfficial YouTube Channel. Viewers can also catch up on previous episodes, including the recent release “Tangled Swines,” which is currently streaming online.
The inclusion of high-profile guest stars highlights the growing footprint of The Swines as it builds its audience space in the independent digital animation circuit. With its steady release schedule and escalating production values, Wonkybot’s flagship YouTube series continues to establish itself as a notable player in independent online entertainment.
