Weekend Plans!

Lost Cellphone Weekend is a musical cautionary tale about our screen-centered modern life that opens this weekend in North Hollywood at Write Act Repertory. This new addictive musical is written and Composed by Stephen Gilbane as a love letter to Film Noir, inspired by the 1945 Billy Wilder film “The Lost Weekend” with Ray Milland. Protagonist Don Birnam has a problem. But it’s not the usual stuff, like booze or drugs.  He has a social media problem, a problem with his cellphone.  Like many of us do.  This weekend, he will be tested as never before! Begging the question, “Can you survive a weekend offline?”

The production is presented by Producing Artistic Director John Lant and Tamra Pica with Write Act Repertory and stars Lance Bagley, Birdie, Scott Di Lorenzo, Lauren Faulkner, Trevor Murphy, Courtney South and Jess Spruiell. Directed by Darrin Yalacki with Casting by Tamra Pica Casting, Lighting and Set Design by Zad Potter, Choreographed by Misty West, Music Direction by Daniel Pietruska and Accompanist Grace Balint.
