Alisan Porter Debuts ‘PORTER’ Live in Malibu
Celebration was co-presented by Chris Isaacson Presents and Aviator Nation Dreamland.
Ty Taylor and All-Star Guests Join Release Celebration
Alisan Porter knows how to throw a release party. The Season 10 winner of NBC’s The Voice celebrated her new album, PORTER, with a one-night-only concert at Aviator Nation Dreamland in Malibu on Sunday, October 11, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of artists, friends, and fans.
An All-Star Sing-Along
Vintage Trouble frontman Ty Taylor opened the night with a soaring guest set, bringing the house down with an incredible rendition of “Purple Rain.” For the evening’s finale, Porter brought a stellar lineup of singers onstage for an all-star sing-along of “Clouds” off the new record, featuring American Idol finalist Elliott Yamin, The Voice finalist Chris Mann, Pussycat Dolls founding member Carmit Bachar, jazz vocalist Brenna Whitaker, Amy Chapman, and Scarlett Cherry.
Roadmap for the Middle of a Life
PORTER marks the fifth studio album from Porter, offering a deeply personal collection of ten songs conceived as a roadmap for surviving the middle of a life. The live performance was anchored by musical director and co-producer Drew McKeon on drums, Grammy-winning producer Sam Barsh on piano, Stephan Hovsepian on guitar, Gabriel Severn on bass, and backup vocalists Keri Larson and Shelley Scarr Hovsepian. Presented in partnership with Chris Isaacson Presents, the celebration captured the raw emotional power and communal spirit at the heart of Porter’s newest chapter.
