LA rock heavyweights Blacklist Union have officially unleashed “Heavy Is The Crown,” the explosive third single from their upcoming album, The Good, The Bad And The Notorious (dropping spring 2027) via BLU Records. The track follows the massive success of their previous singles, “Jackson” and “Madame Butterfly.”

Taking Their Love to the Summit
The band’s recent UK and European tour alongside Faster Pussycat and Femme Fatale ended with a real-life rock-and-roll fairytale. Every night, Femme Fatale’s Lorraine Lewis joined Blacklist Union frontman Tony West on stage to belt out their punk-fueled cover of the Johnny Cash classic, “Jackson.”
The romance didn’t stay on stage. Following “Madame Butterfly”—West’s open musical love letter to Lewis—the couple headed to Paris, where West proposed at the top of the Eiffel Tower. She said yes.

A Sneak Peek at the New Album
While love is in the air, Blacklist Union isn’t toning down their signature grit. “‘Heavy Is The Crown’ is about perseverance and knowing it’s always darkest before the dawn,” says West.
The anthem delivers the exact hard rock, punk, and alternative swagger you would expect. The track was produced by long-time collaborator Christopher Johnson (Evanescence, Scott Weiland), who also helmed the band’s critically acclaimed 2025 album Slay The Dragon.
Two Decades of Bad Reputations
Formed in 2006 by Bronx-born Tony West, Blacklist Union has spent two decades building a legacy in the LA rock scene. Inspired by West’s near spiritual experience seeing the Ramones live, the band famously earned its name by bringing together the absolute best musicians in town with the worst reputations.
