The Colony Theatre in Burbank has officially announced the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of the high-flying Broadway musical, Catch Me If You Can. Under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Heather Provost, this “big, bold, and fun” production is set to bring a splash of Broadway spectacle to the local community.

A True Story of Charm and Deception

Based on the hit 2002 Dreamworks motion picture, the musical tells the incredible true story of Frank W. Abagnale, Jr.. A young runaway with a big imagination and a knack for forgery, Frank successfully poses as a pilot, doctor, and lawyer—all while swindling millions of dollars in checks. The high-stakes chase begins when FBI agent Carl Hanratty takes the case, leading to a conclusion that neither man expected.

The show features a book by Terrence McNally and a vibrant score by the Tony-winning team of Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray). The original 2011 Broadway production earned four Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.
