November 12th – January 9th
On November 12th, Art/Space 114 launches GROUP: THE SHOW, an immersive exhibition and live mockumentary film set exploring artistic identity through self-parody. Curated by New York artist and filmmaker Lily Lady in their curatorial debut, the show features work from 12 brave artists who were challenged to satirize their own creative practices—and then step in front of the camera to play character versions of themselves during the run.
The show’s installation and opening night will be filmed as part of a larger mockumentary project examining how individuals perform their identities and what it truly means to be an artist.
GROUP: THE SHOW features work by Shamon Cassette, Canyon Castator, Michael Krim, Liz Lee, Michelle Jane Lee, Nikki Ochoa, Sophie Roessler, Ari Salka, Griffen Silbey, Benjamin Weissman, Marley White, and Jeanie Yoo.
Curator Lily Lady is a multidisciplinary artist from New York City. Their published books include quickie (2022), NDA (2024), and Blood Brother (2026), and their debut feature film, Sam’s World, is currently available across major streaming platforms.
Opening Reception at Art/Space 114 on Thursday November 12th at 7pm-9pm.
