Bad Brains was one of the most influential bands in American punk history. Fronted by HR, Bad Brains made history breaking down cultural barriers by creating emotionally charged music with the message of maintaining a positive mental attitude (PMA).

HR formed the reggae-rock band Human Rights in 1984 as he became interested and transformed by the reggae and Rastafarian movement. He shifted his focus more on the spiritual nature of reggae rather than the punk lifestyle. The band has performed and recorded in various incarnations for over four decades. In addition to working on a new solo album with Human Rights, HR has recently been in the studio with Ty Dolla $ign and Vic Mensa.
