SEA LEVELS RISING by HIBISCUS TV

We are looking forward to the performance of Sea Levels Rising by dynamic duo Hibiscus TV on February 17th at 2 pm at the LA Art Show in Booth 1366 at the LA Convention Center-West Hall (1201 South Figueroa Street, LA 90015). This work is part of Curator, Marisa Caichiolo’s DIVERSEArtLA 2024 in conjunction with Repairing the Future, an installation by Osceola Refetoff; Curated by Andi Campognone and funded by the Museum of Art and History in Lancaster, CA.

Sea Levels Rising by Hibiscus TV is created through the convergence of two artistic minds, Los Angeles visionaries, Amy Kaps and Kaye Freeman. It is compelling performance art that expands the conversation between art and environment taking place as we witness the exponential damage caused in our lifetime.

Join two Sirens as they frolic and fight for their lives while sea levels rise. Using only recycled and repurposed materials to create their costumes, props and set, Hibiscus TV’s performance references ancient mythologies in the world we inhabit materially and metaphysically.
