This special event, running from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, offers a deeper look into her current solo exhibition, Illuminating Matter, which remains on view through May 24.

A Dialogue Between Nature and Light In Illuminating Matter, Greenshields-Ziman presents a collection that delicately balances observation and transformation. As a multidisciplinary artist, she uses plants and the natural environment as both her subject and her source material. The resulting compositions are painted and drawn onto paper and vellum, with several pieces encased within illuminated light boxes.

These works are designed to transcend traditional representation; they function as “living impressions”, subtle imprints of organic matter that appear to hover between presence and absence. The unique translucency of the vellum allows light to pass through and around each form, casting layered shadows that shift dynamically with the viewer’s movement.
