Brazilian indie rock sensations Banda AL9 new digital single “She Can Do It All”, drops today, February 9 via Wicked Cool Records on a fittingly historic date marking the anniversary of The Beatles’ iconic Ed Sullivan Show performance. The release also launches the pre-order for Banda AL9’s upcoming album Hey! Hey! We’re Banda AL9, due July 17 via Wicked Cool Records.
Led by brothers Matheus Khouri (vocals, lead guitar) and Thiago Khouri (vocals, bass), Banda AL9 blend classic power-pop melodies, chiming guitars, and modern indie energy into a sound that bridges generations. “She Can Do It All” serves as the band’s first official U.S. single and introduces American audiences to the spirit and swagger behind their fast-growing global following of more than 2 million fans across social platforms.
“Banda AL9 taps straight into that power-pop sweet spot — chiming guitars, tight harmonies, and melodies that hit you in under three minutes,” says Wicked Cool Records founder Little Steven Van Zandt. “It’s got that Beatles-meets-early-Who urgency filtered through Brazil’s own sense of rhythm and color. Bringing them to the USA for the first time feels important — this music traveled the world and came back stronger. Banda AL9 proves that the spirit of 60s-inspired rock and pop is alive and well.”
To celebrate their U.S. debut era, Banda AL9 will make their first-ever American live appearance with a sold-out performance at The Cutting Room in New York City on February 19 — a milestone moment for the band as they officially bring their high-energy live show stateside.
About Banda AL9
Banda AL9 began in 2017, initially sharing acoustic covers online before shifting to original material that quickly gained traction. Their early success accelerated between 2021 and 2022, when the band went viral on TikTok with videos surpassing 12 million views.
Their 2023 full-length debut Amor É A Lei marked a major breakthrough in Brazil, earning widespread attention and airplay — including spins on Little Steven’s Underground Garage — and co-signs from artists like Justin Hawkins (The Darkness). Momentum continued when Steve Aoki covered Banda AL9’s hit “Chama de Amor” and invited the band to perform with him live at Tomorrowland Brazil.
In 2024, the band released Love Is The Law, the English-language version of Amor É A Lei, featuring “She Calls Me Love,” which helped introduce Banda AL9 to audiences across the U.S. and beyond. That same year brought their sophomore LP O Nono Rei, followed by the English-language counterpart The Ninth King in 2025, along with international collaborations featuring Ruby Leigh and Nasri (MAGIC!).2025 also marked Banda AL9’s first stadium appearance, joining Steve Aoki at São Paulo’s Allianz Parque Stadium. Now signed to Little Steven Van Zandt’s Wicked Cool Records, the band is entering a new chapter — bringing their global rock ’n’ roll revival directly to American audiences.
