8th Annual Coast Film & Music Festival Sets Sail October 16-25 in Laguna Beach

An annual celebration of outdoor-inspired cinema, culture, and community.

The eighth annual Coast Film & Music Festival (CFMF) returns to Laguna Beach, setting sail from Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 25, 2026. Known for amplifying underrepresented voices and tackling social and environmental issues, this year’s festival features a powerful lineup of 19 feature films and 53 shorts. Screenings will be held across numerous local venues, including the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center, Rivian South Coast Theater, Surfing Heritage and Culture Center, Festival of Arts, The Promenade on Forest Avenue, and Hobie Surf Shop.

Documentaries & Underrepresented Voices

Feature film highlights include Doug Blush and Piero F. Giunti’s Los Lobos: Native Sons (SXSW), which chronicles the history of the East Los Angeles Chicano band Los Lobos; Paige Bethmann’s Remaining Native (SXSW), which is the coming-of-age story of teenage Native American runner Ku Stevens; and David Booth Gardner’s The Last Place on Earth (Dances with Films: Los Angeles), which follows wildlife activists protecting a Sumatran ecosystem from deforestation.

World Class Music Acts Under the Stars

The 2026 concert lineup includes Ben Harper, Amos Lee, Rainbow Body, Donavon Frankenreiter, G. Love, Lily Meola and more all under the stars at The Irvine Bowl, one of Southern California’s most iconic venues.
