Exclusive World Premiere in Hollywood

Los Angeles music lovers are in for an intimate evening of song and story as legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb prepares a special two-night live engagement in Hollywood. Taking the stage on Friday and Saturday, October 16 and 17, at Catalina Jazz Club, Webb will showcase material from his upcoming Sun Records release, Yours for the Taking: The Found Songs of Jimmy Webb. The newly uncovered collection features previously unheard compositions written throughout his legendary career, spotlighting long-hidden musical treasures alongside the timeless classics that defined an era.

A Master Storyteller Returns

Known for penning iconic chart-toppers like “Wichita Lineman,” “Didn’t We,” and “MacArthur Park,” Webb’s catalog has been immortalized by music giants ranging from Glen Campbell and Linda Ronstadt to Richard Harris and Donna Summer. During his intimate live performances, Webb pairs his unmatched musical repertoire with riveting firsthand tales from his memoir, offering audiences an inside look at his adventures at the center of the 1960s and 1970s music scene. The upcoming album officially drops October 16 via Sun Records, anchored by the lead single, “Winter Clothes (Original Demo).”

Unequivocal  Musical Legacy

Webb’s enduring contributions to American popular music have earned him widespread acclaim, including the prestigious Ivor Novello International Award and the Academy of Country Music’s Poet Award. Named one of Rolling Stone’s Greatest Songwriters of All Time, Webb earned his first gold record at just 18 years old and remains the youngest inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, where he later served as chairman. Notably, he stands as the only artist in history to receive Grammy Awards for music, lyrics, and orchestration.

LA’s Quintessential Live Venue

Located at 6725 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, the performances take place at one of Los Angeles’ premier live music destinations. Founded in October 1986 by Catalina and Bob Popescu, the Catalina Jazz Club has spent nearly four decades bringing world-class jazz, soul, Broadway, and supper club culture to the heart of Southern California. Recognized over the years by the Los Angeles Jazz Society, the California Jazz Foundation, and the City of Los Angeles, the venue offers an intimate setting for this landmark musical engagement. Tickets for both evening performances are available online via CatalinaJazzClub.com and TicketWeb.com.
