Hope Levy steps into the spotlight in The Connie Converse Universe now playing at the Hollywood Fringe Festival at the Actors Company (916 N. Formosa Ave., Los Angeles, 90046.) Hope Levy stars as Connie Converse, it’s produced by Zipperbug Music and directed by Tom Lavagnino.

Before the likes of Bob Dylan and Joan Baez made waves in the folk scene of the 1960s, Connie Converse quietly shared her self-penned songs amongst friends during the early 1950s. However, her mysterious disappearance in August of 1974 left her music veiled in obscurity.

It wasn’t until decades later, in 2009, that the world rediscovered her haunting melodies through a viral
release of her original 1954 demo recordings on Spotify. Now, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Hope Levy steps into the spotlight to breathe new life into Converse’s evocative compositions, offering a
captivating glimpse into the enigmatic world of “The Connie Converse Universe“.

Hope Levy (Performer/Producer)

Folk-pop singer-songwriter and accomplished performer-producer, Hope Levy’s musical journey is deeply rooted in folk traditions. From her early days singing alongside legendary figures like Malvina Reynolds to her own acclaimed records, Levy has embraced the essence of folk music. Her theatrical prowess shines through various lead roles in Los Angeles productions, including iconic shows like “Les Misérables” and “The Rocky Horror Show”. Levy’s versatility extends to voice-over work, where she breathes life into beloved characters in animated series, commercials, and blockbuster films like “Boss Baby: Back in Business” where she played the mom.
